President of the Colegio Nacional de Abogados de Panamá (2019-2021)
Juan Carlos Araúz is President of the Colegio Nacional de Abogados (CNA) de Panamá (Panama National Bar Association) and Vice President of the Unión Iberoamericana de Colegios y Agrupaciones de Abogados (UIBA).
He is Managing Partner of Estudio Jurídico Araúz, a team of lawyers dedicated to comprehensive legal advice. As a trial lawyer, he has taken part in various types of litigation and complex procedural scenarios that require preparation, knowledge and command of Panamanian legal procedure.
He holds a law and political science degree from the Universidad de Panamá, has completed postgraduate studies in human rights, and holds two master’s degrees, one in international business law and the other in international law, both from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He holds a doctorate in law with an emphasis on private international law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
