PROGRAMME
Women’s
Women’s Digital Law Empowerment ® brings together all of the Committee’s work for equality in technology law: increasing women’s participation in decision-making and access to power, in the spirit of the UN Beijing Conference (1995).
Four lines of work, one goal: closing the digital gender gap.
Our lines of work
Women’s Digital Law → — the flagship programme: information, training and employability.
Women’s STEMLaw → — competencies in science, technology and law to close the gap.
Femtech → — the legal dimension of technology for women’s health.
Empowerment → — talent, training and access to leadership positions.
Why it matters
The 2015 UN Sustainable Development Goals include a commitment to use ICTs to promote the empowerment of women. However, the digital divide persists: both in access and in the digital skills that determine the effective use of technology. This programme is our firm contribution to those goals.
