UNIVERSITY CHAIRS NETWORK
Universidad Cenfotec
A Costa Rican university specialising in information technology and a partner of CEA Digital Law in the University Chairs Network.
Software Engineering: the first in Costa Rica and Central America
In 2003, Cenfotec developed and launched the Software Engineering degree programme, the first in Costa Rica and Central America.
It was followed by programmes in infrastructure support, database administration, cybersecurity, telematics, and web development and design, all of which were very well received by the technology sector. This approach, aligned with the business community, has earned Cenfotec a track record and recognition of the highest level, both among national business leaders and among international employers who hire its graduates.
Among the leading higher education institutions
Cenfotec ranks among the top four higher education institutions in the country for quality in information and communication technologies, and has the shortest training time (survey of national business leaders conducted by the Costa Rican Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies, 2008).
