The Law Faculty of Universidad Santiago de Cali and the Euro-American Committee of Digital Law - CEA Digital Law organize the “VI Jornada de Derecho Privado de la Universidad Santiago de Cali (Colombia)”, which will take place on 15 August 2023 at 10:00 in hybrid format: in person at Pedro Elías Serrano, Universidad Santiago de Cali, in Cali, and online.
The programme will run in two sessions, morning and afternoon. Dr. Natalia Santana Naranjo will open the event. Antonio Tejeda Encinas, president of CEA Digital Law, will present “Ética y responsabilidad corporativa en la era digital desde la perspectiva del Derecho Privado”. Dr. Lucy Esperanza Ramírez will discuss the changes introduced by Law 2220 of 2022 on family matters, and Dr. Gustavo Jaramillo will address the protection of the right to privacy of financial consumers.
In the afternoon, Dr. Viviana Bernal will examine challenges in labour law; Dr. Luis Hernando Castillo, the need to abolish the offence of failure to pay child support; and Dr. Virginia Gutiérrez, the family in Colombia.
