▪ Responsible for the directors of the Computer Systems Engineering programs, the postgraduate programs in information technologies and continuing education in the same area. At the time, the largest Faculty of the University.
▪ I strengthened relations with companies, thereby launching job fairs for the Faculty.
▪ I promoted research; we started several groups: automatic summarization, Linux, .Net, etc.
We launched the campaign for the use of Microsoft software with free student licenses.

▪ I reduced the department’s payroll by half, using these resources to deliver more projects than previously carried out.

Research Activities • I am a member of the research group of the Universidad de Alicante:
Procesamiento del Lenguaje y Sistemas de Información” (GPLSI, http://gplsi.dlsi.ua.es/).
I conducted research on incorporating natural language to improve traditional information retrieval. It is used in Question Answering and Automatic Text Summarization systems.
I served as general organizer of the third edition of LACNEM (Latin American Conference on Networked Audiovisual Media 2011), held at Universidad Latina in Costa Rica. I am a member of the conference’s organizing committee.
I conducted research on the development of natural language interfaces for working
with large amounts of information.
