Data Protection and Privacy in Brazil: A New Culture?

A session to mark International Data Protection Day.

The Euro-American Committee of Digital Law - CEA Digital Law and its Rio de Janeiro Node organised this online meeting on 28 January 2021, broadcast on YouTube with the support of the Aplicando o Direito channel. LegisTec, the Associação dos Juízes do Trabalho (AJUTRA), the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and the Laboratório de Políticas Públicas (LPP/UERJ) took part.

Angela Mendes, lawyer and university lecturer (CEA Digital Law / LegisTec br), opened the session.

Taciela Cylleno, labour judge at the TRT-RJ (AJUTRA), spoke on «Desafios da audiência virtual trabalhista» (challenges of virtual labour hearings).

Alberto Mendes, lecturer and researcher (LPP/UERJ – UNIGAMA), presented «Abordagem ética do ambiente virtual» (an ethical approach to the virtual environment).

Lourival Moreira, lecturer, engineer and researcher (LegisTec br), addressed «Os desafios das novas tecnologias» (the challenges of new technologies).
