PIDAL — the Inter-American Platform in Defence of the Litigating Lawyer — is a creation of the Euro-American Committee of Digital Law: international in scope and permanent in vocation, it stands up for the rights of litigating lawyers and their shared professional concerns across many countries.

Why it was born
The platform emerged in response to the difficulties faced by litigating lawyers — particularly during the COVID-19 confinement, when many saw their income reduced to little or nothing in Colombia, Paraguay, Spain and other countries.
