Radio Hemisférica is a new project of the Euro-American Committee of Digital Law — CEA Digital Law, chaired by Dr. Antonio Tejeda Encinas.
Radio Hemisférica is not just an online station with regional FM broadcasts (something of great significance in itself); it is also the first legal-radio project backed by the world’s first digital Non-Profit, “CEA Digital Law”.
Radio Hemisférica informs the public about legal matters as a valuable tool to educate citizens about their legal rights and responsibilities. By covering topics such as family law, business law, property law and other important legal subjects, we help people better understand how the legal system works and how they can protect their interests.
We also help legal professionals connect with the public: Radio Hemisférica is a platform for legal professionals to reach audiences and build their personal brand. Lawyers and other legal professionals use the radio to discuss legal topics of interest to their audience and to demonstrate their expertise in the field. Thus the trial lawyer — whose association was created during the pandemic: “PIDAL” (the Inter-American Platform in Defence of the Trial Lawyer, created by the Euro-American Committee of Digital Law — CEA Digital Law as a rapid response on the occasion of, and in support of, the Virtual March of the Colombian Legal Profession, but with a lasting, international vocation that has been consolidating across Latin America and Spain) — finds in Radio Hemisférica one more arm of support for that platform, unique in the world, and for the defence of the defence.
Radio Hemisférica fosters debate and dialogue on important legal issues. By inviting experts and commentators to discuss controversial legal topics, we help the audience understand different points of view and reach their own informed conclusions.
While Radio Hemisférica’s mission is a schedule of legal and techno-legal content, in the words of one of our directors, Dr. Henríquez Toro, it aims “to broaden its reach to the public by introducing technological, cultural, sporting, economic and social topics, and even some ecumenical religious connection” — that is, a varied schedule without losing its initial focus and the emphasis that drives its work.
Radio Hemisférica offers practical information with legal content and, in short, is a valuable tool to educate the public about important legal issues, help legal professionals connect with their audience, foster debate and dialogue on controversial legal topics, and provide practical information to the audience.
Radio Hemisférica is also building local, regional, national and international teams that can generate high-impact news — high-performance scoops so that the outlet is not only a station but also a digital portal in which other players can replicate the information generated.
