Contributions from CEA Digital Law

Antonio Tejeda Encinas, President of the Euro-American Committee of Digital Law - CEA Digital Law, spoke on 30 October on «An ethnic and differential approach to digital public policy». He warned of the risk of a new digital colonialism over the identity, culture and ancestral knowledge of Afro-Colombian communities, and proposed three tools: ethnic habeas data, digital prior consultation and a «digital airbag» to stop discriminatory content generated by artificial intelligence.

Pablo Tejeda Zafra, Manager of the Spanish Chapter of the Inter-American Association of Students of Technology, Law and Related Fields (AIETD), presented «Technology with identity: audiovisual training with its own narrative», on culturally rooted audiovisual production as a tool of narrative sovereignty for Afro-Colombian communities.
