Julio César Henríquez Toro

Professional Profile.
Lawyer by profession, writer, poet and Doctor of Political Science, with a broad humanistic background that enables him to support strategic planning processes.

Involved in academia and the legal field since 2004. In the area of Law, through the continuous practice of Legal Sciences for more than 17 years.

He has been director of the Instituto de Altos Estudios Jurídicos, Políticos, Económicos y Sociales of the Universidad Autónoma del Caribe, directing teaching, research and outreach activities. At that institution he served as Dean of the Faculty of Law (Jurisprudencia). He is the current President and Founder of the Colegio de Abogados del Atlántico, a principal member of the board of directors of the Comité Ejecutivo de la Abogacía Colombiana, a member of the board of directors of the Federación de Colegios de Abogados de Colombia, and representative for the Colombian Caribbean of the Organización Mundial de Abogados. He works as a Researcher for the Euro-American Committee of Digital Law. He participates as a Researcher in the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI). He is a columnist for the newspapers El Tiempo and El Heraldo, among other media outlets. In the field of theology, he has served as Dean of the Faculty of Theological Sciences of the Universidad Católica Santa Rosa.
