CEA DIGITAL LAW

Digital Observatory

OBSERVATORY

Euro-American Digital Observatory

Aware of the differing speeds of digital adoption on either side of the hemisphere —and, consequently, within each of them— we have established an instrument for the systematic and continuous collection of data and its conversion into information, endowing it with significance and purpose.

The observatory is devoted to the study, analysis and dissemination of knowledge on the reality of the DIGITAL phenomenon under observation. It is therefore conceived as an autonomous, independent and pluralistic body with critical capacity, contributing to a more rational debate.

Our mission

Each of the CEA Digital Law ® Nodes, together with the organizations with which we have agreements or which form part of our Institution, provides us with data whose growing volume could lead to a loss of the overall perspective on the phenomenon observed, and creates the obligation to transform that data into information that offers ongoing elements for decision-making.

The mission of the observatory is to monitor and identify developments within its field of action. Its added value lies in seeking out information, discerning its relevance, organizing it coherently and presenting it clearly. To this end, we rely on three pillars:

Documentation center — a digital library that stores and classifies information and documentation.
Data analysis center — a decision-support tool based on the collection and processing of information and on studies conducted with experts.
Information and exchange — a space that transforms data into information in order to provide elements for digital decision-making.
