Although its cause has yet to be officially confirmed, the event reveals far more than a mere technical vulnerability: it exposes a deep fault line in the strategic architecture of contemporary states.<\/p>\n<p>In a hyperconnected world, sovereignty is no longer measured solely by physical borders, but by the capacity to protect the invisible infrastructure \u2013 electrical, digital, logistical \u2013 on which economic and social life depends. The 2025 blackout forces us to recognise a new dimension of power: whoever controls the networks, the industrial control systems and the data flows will control the destiny of nations.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing on an analysis of international cases such as Ukraine, Venezuela and India, and on a study of how hybrid and cyber conflicts have evolved, the full article makes an urgent case: systemic resilience and technological sovereignty are today essential conditions for strategic survival. Without them, modern states are vulnerable to attacks that require no armies \u2013 just code, access and opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>Strengthening cybersecurity sector by sector is not enough.
