S\u00e1inz, during the event held at Espacio Fundaci\u00f3n Telef\u00f3nica, explained that the study was conducted with high school students \u2014410\u2014, STEM graduates \u201411\u2014 and professionals in that field with a maximum of five years of professional career \u201421.<\/p>\n<p>Interviews conducted at secondary schools highlighted that young people believe STEM professions are for highly intelligent people; they associate computer science and engineering with people who have personality or interpersonal difficulties, limited social skills and even poor hygiene\u2014in the case of computer scientists\u2014and view engineers as people with a very formal appearance.
