Period: 2006 to 2016. Position: Director of the Technical Secretariat for Digital Government<br \/>\nat the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad. During this period she was in charge of the development and<br \/>\noversight of national projects<\/p>\n<p>4. Manager of the Customs Modernization Project \u201cTIC@\u201d \u201cInformation Technology<br \/>\nfor Customs Control\u201d, Ministerio de Hacienda: design and implementation of a new<br \/>\ncustoms operating model emphasizing the intensive use of technology at the<br \/>\nCaldera, Central and Santamar\u00eda Customs Offices &#8211; April 2004 to June 2006<\/p>\n<p>5. Director General of Information Technology, Ministerio de Hacienda, Technology Area Directorate,<br \/>\n1999 to September 2006, carrying out a range of projects such as the Integrated<br \/>\nFinancial Management System, Implementation and Adjustment of SAP (22<br \/>\ninstitutions), Human Resources, Payroll and Salary and Pension Payment System (Integra) for 18 institutions, Electronic Procurement System (Comprared), Tax Exemption System (Exonet), Global Communications Network, Centro Virtual de Conocimiento Hacendario (Virtual Public Finance Knowledge Center), the Ministerio de Hacienda web portal, Certification Unit for the use of digital signatures, and Data Center installation, among others.<\/p>\n<p>6. Researcher at the Centro Latinoamericano para la Competitividad y Desarrollo Sostenible, CLACDS, INCAE, conducting research and assessments on customs matters in Central America, 1997<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recognition<\/strong><br \/>\nAward for Best Public Servant, granted by the C\u00e1mara de Exportadores (Chamber of Exporters), 2000<br \/>\nPremio Nacional \u00c1ncora in Information Technology 2005-2006. Premio al M\u00e9rito 2008, Honorable Mention, Colegio de Profesionales en Inform\u00e1tica y<br \/>\nComputaci\u00f3n de Costa Rica, November 2008. Most Outstanding CIO of the Year 2008 in Central America and the Caribbean, awarded<br \/>\nby IT NOW magazine of Central America.
