This goal is pursued through different approaches: digital technologies, art and culture, collective construction and knowledge management, and the social solidarity economy.\r\n\r\nThe\u00a0TIC-as\u00a0project developed by the Costa Rican cooperative Sul\u00e1 Bats\u00fa won worldwide recognition at the \u201cEQUALS in Tech Awards\u201d presented by UN Women and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).\r\n\r\nTIC-as was selected from 297 proposals from around the world and received the award at the United Nations headquarters in Switzerland.\r\n\r\nSul\u00e1 Bats\u00fa is made up of professionals from different disciplines; its main work revolves around information technologies, free and open knowledge, culture as a driver of development, and the social and solidarity economy as an alternative for communities .\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
