\nThe Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023\/2854 of 13 December 2023) has been enacted, complementing the Data Governance Act (Regulation (EU) 2022\/868 of 30 May 2022). These regulations are key elements of the European Strategy for Data, which seeks to seize the opportunities of the digital age.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nThe #DataAct<\/strong><\/a> is designed to meet the needs of the digital economy and remove barriers to the internal market for data. It lays down a harmonised framework specifying who may use product data and related service data, under what conditions and on what basis. It also ensures that users in the Union can access and use the data generated by these products or services in a timely manner.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nThe #DataGovernanceAct<\/a><\/strong>, for its part, regulates access to and use of data, facilitating the re-use of certain categories of public sector data in a transparent and trustworthy manner.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nThese regulatory frameworks pave the way for developing AI systems that harness the potential of the data available, to the benefit of SMEs and consumers. The forthcoming EU Artificial Intelligence Act (#Reglamentodeinteligenciaartificial<\/a><\/strong>), which is about to be published in the Official Journal of the European Union, will arrive in a more favourable environment thanks to these developments.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
